Urban redevelopment at Furjan Island, a residential development in Dubai, featuring urban furniture and protection systems to improve safety, functionality and the quality of public space.

Need / Problem: The residential development required new safety, organisation and urban furniture elements adapted to the growth and everyday use of public space.
Solution: Installation of road safety systems, urban furniture and separation and access control elements.
Result: Improved organisation, safety and comfort within a rapidly evolving urban environment.

Furjan Island is part of one of Dubai’s new residential developments, conceived as a modern urban environment where architecture, mobility and public space coexist within a context of continuous growth and high urban quality.

As part of this renewal process, several urban elements have been installed in front of Arbor School to improve safety and functionality in the area. The intervention includes Ensanche fence to separate traffic lanes, semi-automatic bollards with reflective bands and stainless steel bollards for pedestrian traffic control and protection.

The space is completed with FLO three-compartment litter bins equipped with a canopy and integrated ashtray, promoting waste separation and easier maintenance of the surroundings. Roda benches have also been installed, creating seating and resting areas for users and visitors.

An intervention that combines safety, design and urban equipment within a constantly evolving residential development.
